Standing Field Committee in Econometrics

The Standing Field Committee in Econometrics of the Verein für Socialpolitik consists of about 120 leading researchers in econometrics and applied statistics, that either work primarily in Germany, Austria and Switzerland or have a strong relation to these countries. The research profiles of empirically working members include labor markets, health, education, trade, crime, macro economics and financial markets. Methodologically, members work on time series, panel as well as microeconometric problems and develop transparent solutions for increasingly large, in part high-dimensional date sets.

Prof. Schienle was the chair of the committee from June 2019 - June 2023.
Since June 2023, Joachim Winter, is the new chair of the committee

Annual conference

The committee meets regularly in spring for its annual conference.
